In some cases, when the reservation is made on condition of payment upon arrival, we ask guests to provide their credit card details to guarantee the booking. When the booking is completed, credit card details are transferred to the hotel to serve as the guarantee of the guests’ intention. The data is transferred in an encrypted state.
The hotel may check if the limit of your credit card is sufficient to cover the reservation and block a certain amount of money. As a rule, the blocked amount is equal to the price of one night's stay. In rare cases, the hotel may charge the full cost of stay.
